OUR CEO
Jake is a dual citizen American-Israeli and comes from an Airborne-SOF background in the IDF. After living in Israel for 3 years and completing his full active duty service, he moved back home to the states. He then immediately transferred into a mandatory reserve capacity where every year he travels back to Israel to conduct combat operations with his team. Jake was also on the ground for 4 months conducting combat operations during the latest Israel-Hamas war known as "Operation Swords of Iron". During this time, he was awarded a citation equivalent to the American Bronze star with Valor for his actions under enemy fire. He has years of experience in PSD and EP work, both OCONUS and at home protecting some of the most well known public figures in the world as well as a year of running a team protecting a client from cartel and mafia members. Jake has a decade of experience in freefall skydiving with over 400 jumps which has become one of his many passions over the years. He found his passion in training and body armor after seeing over the years that no matter where anyone may be, horrible things can always happen to good people.
Training
Here at IGY6 DEFENSE, we require that all instructors and employees come from a special operations and backgrounds with combat experience. We pride ourselves on vast knowledge in the art of self-defense. We also feel that knowledge is wasted if kept locked away and reserved to a few individuals. Weekly classes in hand to hand combat, firearms use/manipulation, CQB, force on force and TCCC are offered. Our curriculum revolves strongly behind two main principles: safety, and violence of action. While our main goal is to keep all students safe during instruction, we will be doing the majority of our work at full speed, contact, and intensity. Real world situations revolve around the unknown, and we here at IGY6 DEFENSE integrate that into our training. There is no gray area in a fight won or lost outside of a controlled environment. We will give you the tools to work past being tired, or handling a weapon with no fine motor skills from adrenaline, or increasing your survivability in a knife attack in an enclosed environment. Because life and death has no gray area, neither should your training.
Body Armor & Tactical Gear
At IGY6 DEFENSE, our armor and tactical gear has hit the market being known for its proof of light weight durability, use by top tier 1 and tier 2 units both in the American and Israeli military and battle tested use in the Israel-Hamas war already saving multiple soldier's lives in Gaza. Our CEO personally uses the products we sell in the war on terror against Hamas. We are trying to give our customers a feel of our lifestyle by setting their kit up exactly how we do.
